Mistletoe Monday #40

Today's the last Mistletoe Monday for 2015.

If you've been following along all year, you should 35-40 holiday cards
ready to send out. Doesn't that make you feel good?
Get them addressed and mailed out this week and feel the holiday cheer
spread like wildfire.  Whether you celebrate Christmas or not this time of year is
something special and mankind is hopefully just a tiny bit nicer to each other.

Now on with today's card.

Today's challenge is to incorporate water coloring into your holiday card.

For the top card I used Ranger Distress inks and used a dip and spritz watercolor technique.
For the bottom card I used Gansai Tambi Watercolor Paints and spread the paint with a brush. I did add several layers of the paints, drying in between each layer.

Clean & Simple Sunday #40

Today's the last day of the Thankful Card Challenge.

What have you most been thankful for this year?

We encourage you to make a pact to spread gratefulness and kindness
throughout the year not just in the month of November.

So for 2016, make a card a week and mail it right away to someone near or far.
Whether you celebrate a birthday, another accomplishment or anniversary or
if it is a total act of random kindness, make someone's day at least once a week.
We promise it will make your day better too.

I thought I'd share these cards with you today for this challenge.
The top was created using Ranger Distress inks and spritzing the stamp with water before applying the stamp to the paper.

The second card was created using Versa Mark ink and Perfect Pearls and Pearl Ex powders.
Two clean and simple cards that can be created in no time.

Anything Goes Friday #39

Have you participated in the Share Handmade Kindness Campaign yet?

If not why?
Today's challenge, to share kindness in some way.

Take a few minutes today to create a card or something and
share it with someone you love or even better someone you don't even know.

I encourage you to get out and spread kindness to everyone you meet today.

Black Friday tends to bring out the worst in a lot of people so today, buy someone's coffee or
pay for their gas or let them cut in front of you in line.

Even the smallest gestures will make this world a better place.

Wishing you the best of days and kindness.

It's some Hobby Lobby paper, with Black and Tan ribbon.
The paper has variegated shades of yellow in the design,

Mistletoe Monday #39

Today's challenge is create a card the uses multiple sentiments
stacked to make a tree or ornament or other holiday shape.

Clean & Simple Sunday #39

Today's Clean and Simple Sunday Challenge
is to create another Thankful or Thank You card.

Why this theme this month? Well it is November and that brings Thanksgiving
and we challenge you to make and send at least 5 Thank You or really any card to those
who you are grateful for this holiday season.

Not to mention Christmas is just around the corner and if you don't send Thank You cards
out for the gifts you receive, you should.  A hand-written card means so much more to the
recipient than an email or text.  Any piece of mail that's not junk or bills is always appreciated.

So on with today's card:

This stamp set is from Fiskars. I colored the cup with Stampin Up! markers.
I added the dots to the saucer to tie into the dots woven into the ribbon.

Give Thanks Blog Hop

Welcome to the

Today's hop is sponsored by

Today's hop is full of great projects all about Thanksgiving and being thankful.
So let's get hopping!

Up first today is Gracie with this amazing easel card.

I used Crystal Accents on the fruit, some heat seat stones,
and my very 1st stamp I bought way back in the day!  Finished it off with a little bit of raffia.  ~Gracie

Up next is Denise with this textured masterpiece.

I used a Sizzix embossing folder and then rubbed Viva Décor 3-D stamp paint on it.  I used Copper for over the Thanksgiving word and then used Moss Green for the rest.  I highlighted a couple of elements with just a touch of Walnut Brown. I rubbed the edges of a cream card with the Moss Green followed by the Brown. I then mounted the embossed image on top of that. ~ Denise

Kathy has this beautiful tree card for you.

I used the Friendship is a Sheltering Tree stamp set from SU!  I multi-stamped the leaves using real red, daffodil yellow and orange inks with an addition of some deep red leaves using marker.  It's a simple card, but very seasonal. ~ Kathy

Isn't that little rake just adorable?

Theresa is up next with this one.

Theresa is the last DT member today to bring you a card.
We truly hope you've enjoy the blog hop today and our little part in it.

Mistletoe Monday #38

Today's Mistletoe Monday Challenge is
to create a card using emboss resist.

I love Tim Holtz Distress Inks - you never know how it will turn out!   On this card I stamped the reindeer and sentiment with Memento Luxe black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then inked the card with red and green distress inks and followed with a spritz of water. I added a bit of black ink to the edges of the paper and mounted it on white cards tick and a red card base.  I spritz ed the whole card with pewter mist, blew it dry, then added the rhinestones.
Sounds like a lot but took very little time!

Anything Goes Friday #37

Today's Anything Goes Challenge
is to find a card to C.A.S.E.

We've been featuring a C.A.S.E. challenge for a few weeks now and some
of the design team members find this one of the most difficult challenges we've brought to you.

So inspired by the recent class on StampNation called C.A.S.E.-ing Christmas, I'm showing off
a few of the cards that I C.A.S.E from the class.

So whether you C.A.S.E one of these cards or one from Pinterst or a blog or even
one you've made previously, get to the craft table and create something great.

Mood Board Inspired Saturday #36

Today's Mood Board:

The misty trees in the center of the board struck me, so I stamped 3 trees in a row on a white card. I then stamped it again, along with a sentiment, on velum paper cut the same size as the card front. I attached the velum to the card front using 1/8” Scrappy Tape along the edges.  I really liked the effect and will do it again.
